Hard Work, Will It Survive?

Imagine, for a minute or two that a situation changes without your consent. What will happen? The short answer is, ” just about anything that ever could!” So why is that? Albert Einstein suggests, ” The only reason there is such a thing called ‘Time’, is because everything can’t happen at once.”

So in the case of  Hard Work, it is a first response just maintaining a daily existence, rather than reaching some sort of goal. Working even harder, getting slow results, we try to find short cuts, like a winning ticket. As time goes on, doors and avenues once perceived to be open, can fade and become narrow . How can this be prevented? It can’t. Not even Lottery tickets will help. The only way to get through a tough situation, is by analyzing how it got out of hand in the first place. Then in time, back to the grind using resourcefulness to work hard and smart as well.  Albert wasn’t so dumb, there is time and we ought to try to get it on our side.

Just wearing protective gear takes strength.

The point? To each of us, the grass is always greener where ever you look except where your standing. I see that with some of the neighbouring lawns in the area. That can’t be fixed but if you take the time to look from outside the box, maybe life in general will offer less stress, anger and greed.  As technology increases very rapidly, it is ‘like an ax in the hands of a repeat offender’. Never really satisfied if you “dream on.” So look up some history and don’t leave it to the book worms in this case.

Hard work accounts a lot for well-being and usually gives the the sense of accomplishment. Whether it be out collecting a full bundle perfect sized sticks, for a cooking fire to make dinner in the Serengeti , a great big bag beer cans to Return for Deposit, a completed work of art, a finished rec-room or starting the engines of a newly purchased yacht, there is a maximum height of  exuberance and happiness. All bang heads on the same ceiling or land on the top rung of the ‘happy factor’ ladder. You can only feel that way for so long and then you digress. It is like a rained on cooking fire or a yacht that needs expensive maintenance.

For all that hard work, many of us seek recognition as well. That’s not a bad thing.  Being recognized of accomplishments tend to lead toward improvement, a higher sense of well being and a payoff. Rewards like enjoying a lot cotton candy can certainly get you the sickest tummy award.

Example. Think of this scenario: A ‘Return for Deposit’ venture, coming in for the day. Boxes and bags right full. And then, nobody cares and no one wants to make it worth your while. You’d feel let down and confused, wondering why you put in all that effort, let alone think of working that hard again. That just got real boring. All said and done, other avenues will be sought out. Guess what piles up and even plugs up? Hard work, it get left undone. Some cases a very long intertwining and extensive artery of Labour called Hard Work, shrivels and dies. Check recent global events, with hard work going unaccounted for. When no one wants to do ‘It’ and no one seems to appreciate It or want to pay for it readily. So it rests.

Long ago, this sleeping giant, within the walls of a large global population, is waking up. Its name is Hard Work looking for new ground and full of intrigue, naturally It will wander, even to the 4 corners of the earth. (Remember the earth was flat, until the Queen of Spain decided to “buck up” for Chris’s swashbuckling Adventure.)  It is hungry and thirsty. It is human. It looks for substantiated reason to exist. Hard Work is very much aware of how green the grass is on the other side and wonders how that grass became so green. Betting on more that will satisfy, Hard Work will not want to gets left behind, and hands and feet are off to have a look.  Traveled for what seemed forever, Hard Work may find the grass is not greener, then finds no valour in persistence decides to sit on Its’ thumbs and look for hand outs. What gets done, is nothing.

Looking around, Hard Work needs nurturing, recognition, and to be part of everyone’s everyday living.  What will it take to maintain a hearty work ethic? How will Hard Work survive?
